Tipsy Magazine

Tipsy Magazine

Tipsy Magazine is a mock-up cocktail centric magazine spread I created for a graphic design class project using Adobe In-Design and Illustrator.

As an amateur bartender that likes to look for cocktail recipes in local magazines I used this project as an outlet to combine my interests in quirky cocktails and pop-culture. The result is this fall themed spread.

*The purpose of this class project was to demonstrate my use of the Adobe platforms so the article titles mentioned in the spread are not accompanied by actual copy. However, the article topics and ideas are my own.

The Spread

The Spread 〰️

I designed this spread around the feature story “Prosecco and Popculture” about the viral negroni variation that gained populatirty on TikTok in 2022. I wanted the vibe of the pages to reflect the moody smoothness of a negroni with a splash of bubbly personality that pops off the page.

UI Edition

UI Edition 〰️

The second part of this project was Adobe XD to draft an interactive mobile version of the print spreads.

My goal for the UI/UX version of Tipsy was to maintain the personality of the print magazine while translating the content to a digital layout. I used the same images, article titles, and type faces as the print mock-up. The end result is a fully functioning draft with clickable navigation that allows users to read articles from the home screen or explore topic pages.

The following images are screenshots of the home page, navigation menu, recipe graphic, and article mock-ups.
